James EvansonEvanson's work has been exhibited in museums and galleries including: Great Design/ World Exhibition, Nagoya, Japan; The Hayden Gallery at MIT, Cambridge, Mass.; The Newport Harbor Art Museum, Ca.; Angelo Ho Gallery, Hong Kong; The Oslo Museum of Applied Art, Oslo, Norway; The Bass Museum, Miami, Fl.; and The Society of Arts and Crafts, Boston, Mass. In the field of architecture and interior design, the Architectural League of New York selected Mr. Evanson for the 1983 Young Architects Forum. Along with his architect wife, Lisa, he has designed and built numerous houses. In New York City he has designed retail stores, apartment lobbies, and office interiors. Mr. Evanson has been a critic and has given lectures at Yale University, Pratt Institute and The Rhode Island School of Design. He has been a furniture instructor at SUNY Purchase, NY and Parson's School of Design in New York City. He now teaches a furniture design class at the Art Institute of New York City.
